Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Proverbs 20:2 The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
Okay, so I absolutely detest a very sweet punch (usually made with a sherbet or ice cream) that is served with cake!
For me personally, it’s either the cake or the punch, but never both! My system just can’t handle all that sweet at one time!
Talk about a tummy ache and nausea!!!
So with that said, I would like to introduce you to Mock Champagne!
I love this stuff!
It is just the right mixture of sweetness and tartness that it pairs very well cake, or basically with just about anything!
Try this at the next wedding/bridal shower or baby shower that you will be hosting, or just anytime you want a refreshing drink for a family and friends get together!
I recently served this at a holiday get together and it was a big hit. I was left with nothing but an empty punch bowl.
2 (2 liters) Ginger Ale, chilled
NOTE: I do not recommend using a “store” brand. Use only Canada Dry or Seagram’s brand ginger ale
1 (46 fluid ounce) Pineapple Juice, chilled
1 (64 fluid ounce) White Grape Juice, chilled
Directions
To make a pretty ice ring to go in your punch:
In a large bowl, combine 1 (2 liter) Ginger Ale, 22 fluid ounces pineapple juice and 32 fluid ounces of white grape juice.
Fill a fluted pan 3/4 full of the punch and freeze.
Cover remaining punch and refrigerate.
When ready to serve, remove ice ring from freezer and place in the bottom of a large punch bowl.
Add punch from refrigerator punch bowl.
Add remaining pineapple juice, white grape juice and ginger ale.
Stir and serve!
Serving size: 6-8 ounces
Servings: 25-30
Your gonna love this!!
How far in advance can i freeze ring?

Hi Cathy,
You can freeze your ring 2-3 days in advance. Just cover it good with plastic wrap so it doesn’t absorb freezer odors. Hope this helps. Enjoy your punch!

Can you make ahead and freeze?

Hi Deann,
I don’t think I would freeze anything but the punch ring. I would be afraid it would lose it’s fizz if frozen. However, if you place all your ingredients in the refrigerator overnight it only takes a second to mix them together and you have cold punch. Hope this helps.
God Bless,
Dana

I might have missed the servings this recipe will serve?

Hi Sylva. Depending on the serving size this recipe should serve about 25-30 people. 6 ounce servings should serve about 25. 8 ounce servings should serve about 30. Hope this helps. BTW…..you will love this punch!!
