I was cleaning out boxes of “stuff” from where we recently moved and I found an old recipe box.

Within that box I found this hand written recipe for Pineapple Salad and Orange Salad from my Grandmother.  God rest her soul.

She went to rejoice with Jesus in 2006 and I miss her often.

Especially when I want to pick up the phone to call and ask her a question about cooking, baking or canning.

My grandmother had several handwritten recipes because this was the only way she had to write things down.

Oh how I wish I had more of these handwritten recipes.

Most of them were distributed between her sons, daughters-in-law and grand-kids.

Maybe we should get all these recipes together and publish a cookbook?

Hum, now that’s a thought……
