Change is good, Right?

Zechariah 3:4   And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Jen and I have new homes!

Our property lines are adjacent and we are so excited about this!  Instead of having to drive to visit with each other we can now just walk across the farm.

Our boys can have more playtime together and Jen and I can have more cooking and baking time together.

This is a big change for both us though.

We had to put in several hours of hard labor.

Jen and her husband bought an existing house that needed to be renovated.  Many, many hours she, her husband and father spent painting, putting in new flooring, etc.

Now she has a beautiful home that I am sure will bring her many happy years of enjoyment.

However, my husband and I had to start from scratch.

We bought a 25 acre farm that had not been tended to for several years.

It was grown up cedar thicket with two very old dilapidated barns and one very dated mobile home.

Here’s one of the barns.  Told it was in bad shape.  We plan on reclaiming the wood from the barns for future use.

We bought the farm in 2010 and have spent many countless hours cleaning the place up so we could build our home here.

And here it is!  Our barn/home!  Oh yes we did!  We built a barn with living quarters in one side.  We are finally “on the farm” and couldn’t be happier!

And of course with the farm came animal.  We have goats and chickens and dogs.

We looking forward to making many great memories.
